Salish Lodge & Spa stands on the cliff at the very top of Snoqualmie Falls. It is a hotel and spa, but its restaurant, lounge, café and shop welcome day visitors too.

A lodge on the lip of the falls

A lodge has stood here for more than a century. The Snoqualmie Falls Lodge, a small inn for travelers on the old Sunset Highway, opened in the late 1910s and became famous for its country breakfast. It was rebuilt and reopened as Salish Lodge in 1988, a spa followed in the 1990s, and its exterior played the Great Northern Hotel in Twin Peaks. In 2019 the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe bought the lodge and about 45 acres beside the falls; Seattle-based Columbia Hospitality manages it.

Rooms and the spa

Rooms run from classic and deluxe rooms to patio, riverside and balcony rooms and a one-bedroom Falls King Suite. Gas fireplaces are standard, premier rooms have freestanding soaking tubs, and riverside rooms look over the Snoqualmie River and the historic power plant. The spa is on the top floor, with treatment rooms and soaking pools; spa-level riverside rooms include access to a guests-only lounge called Club 268.

Dining at the lodge

The Restaurant & Terrace Bar serves Pacific Northwest cooking with views of the falls at brunch, lunch and dinner. The Lounge is more casual, first come, first served, with light food, cocktails, beer and wine from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, and the Café & Coffee Bar covers coffee. The lodge keeps its own honeybees, and their honey is used in the spa. Book ahead for weekend brunch.

Visiting without staying the night

You do not need a room to enjoy the place. Have brunch or dinner, a drink in the lounge or a coffee from the café after walking the observation deck, which is a few minutes away. Restaurant and spa customers can use the lodge’s free valet parking, which is easier than the small paid lot on busy days. For an overnight stay and other hotels in the valley, see where to stay.
