Is Snoqualmie Falls free?
Yes. Puget Sound Energy, which owns the park, charges no admission for the viewpoints, the trail or the lower park. You pay only to park in the small lot beside the gift shop or in the lower lot; the main lot across the highway is free. Our list of free things to do has more ways to save.
Park hours
The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, including holidays, and its trails are open year-round. Plan to be back at your car by dark, especially in December, when the sun sets around 4:20 p.m. Check sunrise and sunset times before an early or late visit.
Hours at the museum, lodge and railway
The hydroelectric museum opens Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in season. At Salish Lodge, the lounge is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and the restaurant serves brunch, lunch and dinner. The Snoqualmie Depot is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and free, while its trains run on weekends from spring through October. The table below has details.
Rules to know
Leashed dogs are allowed. Drones and other unmanned aircraft are banned. Barbecues are not allowed, but the picnic tables in the upper park are first come, first served. Stay behind railings and on marked trails, and do not climb past the end of the boardwalk at the lower viewpoint.
