David Lynch and Mark Frost filmed much of Twin Peaks in the Snoqualmie Valley, and the 2017 revival came back. These stops are all within about 10 miles of the falls.

Three waterfalls, one highway: Snoqualmie Falls, Twin Falls and Franklin Falls sit along I-90 within about 30 miles of each other. Together they make an easy, varied day.

A day trip from Seattle

The day trip from Seattle puts the upper deck first, before the crowds, then the trail to the river, lunch in Snoqualmie, a train ride or a short hike, and dinner in North Bend before the drive home.

Two hours at the falls

Two hours is enough for both viewpoints and a coffee at the lodge, which suits a stop on the way across Snoqualmie Pass or a visit with a tight schedule.

For Twin Peaks fans

The Twin Peaks tour links the falls and the Great Northern with Reinig Road, Ronette’s Bridge, the Double R Diner and the Roadhouse, all within about 10 miles of each other.

A day of waterfalls

The waterfall day strings together Snoqualmie Falls, Twin Falls and Franklin Falls along I-90, with about 6 miles of easy to moderate hiking in all.

Which plan fits you

First visit with a free day: the day trip from Seattle. Passing through on I-90 or traveling with someone who cannot manage stairs: the two-hour plan, and park in the paid lot for the shortest walk. Hikers should take the waterfall day, and families can add a train ride from our guide for kids.
