Upper park and step-free viewing
The official falls FAQ describes the short walk to the upper falls as accessible. Start with the upper observation deck rather than assuming that a route down to the river has the same access. The upper park is the practical choice for wheelchair users and visitors who want a short visit. This guide has not measured path gradients, cross-slopes or surface conditions; check with the park operator if you need a specific clearance or assistance.
Parking and arrival
The small lot beside the gift shop has accessible parking spaces. The larger main lot is across SR 202, connected to the upper park by a pedestrian bridge. Read the parking guide to distinguish the lots before setting your navigation destination. Our map shows approximate locations, not a certified step-free route. Follow signs on arrival and confirm current arrangements with the operator.
The lower trail and strollers
The official FAQ says the lower trail is not accessible. It descends steeply from the upper park; the return is uphill. A stroller or pushchair is not a reason to assume it is suitable. For a buggy-friendly plan, stay in the upper park and consider the short itinerary. The trail guide describes the longer walk, and visiting with kids offers alternatives.
Restrooms and planning ahead
Visitor restrooms are located in the upper park near the gift shop. Bathroom, toilet and washroom searches refer to these facilities; this guide has not verified accessible stall dimensions, changing facilities or current opening times. Ask Puget Sound Energy about specific requirements before travelling. Check hours and admission and getting here before setting out.
